ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
BRAEMAR ARENA 2010 IMPROVEMENTS
CONTRACT NO. 10-4PK
BIDS CLOSE FRIDAY, AUG. 20, 2010; 10 a.m.
SEALED BIDS will be received and opened in the Mayor's Conference room in
Edina City Hall, 4801 W. 50th St. at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at which
time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all
labor, materials and all else necessary for the following:
Braemar Arena Exterior Improvements
In general, work consist of: demolition of portions of existing
sidewalk; new stucco on west arena; wash & paint existing barrel vault
end walls; new paint on CMU walls on west arena, new; new sign and
electrical; new side walk, curb & gutter, planters, light & flag poles,
and screen wall. Work includes: Demolition, grading, concrete, washing,
painting, electrical, and related items.
The Edina City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 to
consider said bids.
Bids shall be in sealed envelope with a statement thereon showing the work
covered by the bid. Bids should be addressed to:

and may be mailed or submitted personally.
Bids received by the Park and Recreation Director, either through the mail
or by personal submission, after the time set for receiving them may be
returned unopened.
Bids must be in conformance with specifications which are available at the
Issuing Office of Stevens Engineers, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 2211 O’Neil
Road, Hudson, WI 54016 (651) 436-2075 or (715) 386-5819 upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of $45.00. Bidding Documents may be seen at the Park
& Recreation Director’s Office at Edina City Hall, 4801 W. 50th St., MN and
at the Issuing Office. Direct inquiries to Engineer’s Project Manager,
Scott Ward with Stevens Engineers
No bids will be considered unless sealed and accompanied by bid bond or
certified check payable to the City of Edina in the amount of at least ten
percent (10%) of all bids. The City Council reserves the right to
reject any or all bids or any portion thereof.
The City of Edina reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three
lowest Bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time
set for the Opening of Bids. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60
days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids.
The City of Edina reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive
irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to
award the Contract to the best interests of the City of Edina.
